Call the Pump Grump for all your septic needs!

Buddy & Wendy Juergens, owners pf Pump GrumpBuddy Juergens, a life-long resident of Foxboro, and his wife Wendy own and operate Pump Grump Inc.  Their beginnings started in 2002 with a brand new pump truck, which they proudly displayed in the Founders Day parade, and one customer – their neighbor.  Pump Grump has since serviced over 2,100 customers, which include single-family homes, condos, apartment complexes, commercial buildings and septic installation contractors.

Buddy and Wendy believe Pump Grump’s success has come from providing the best service they can and to take the time to educate each and every customer, which hopefully will save that customer money in the long run.  For example, customers who have a brand new septic system may think they do not need to pump the tank for a few years.  Pump Grump will always suggest pumping the new septic system after one year of use and then determine how often the tank should be pumped.  The number of people living in the house is one of the considerations in determining how often to pump.

Wendy is proud to say, “We have very few emergencies called in by our regular customers.  We believe that spending time with the customers and helping them understand proper maintenance of their system prevents a lot of unwanted mishaps.”

First-time homeowners, who have no experience with septic systems, often call to ask questions that are important to them.  “We are finding the first-time homeowners to be more conscientious of the environment,” said Wendy.  “They want to do the right thing and maintaining their septic system.”

Visit our list of services that the “Grump” provides during a service call.  It is important that the customer knows what to expect when their septic tank is being serviced.  Buddy takes time to thoroughly clean the tank and answer any questions the homeowner may have.

Pump Grump’s website is always being updated to answer basic septic system questions as well as to provide resources for local homeowners.

Building relationships with customers is as important as educating them.  “We want them to feel comfortable and to feel they have a good friend servicing their septic tank,” Wendy said.

Buddy feels the key to Pump Grump’s success is providing thorough, septic pumping and first-rate customer service. “I provide the same septic system services for your family as I do for my own,” he said.

When Buddy meets new customers, he frequently hears the observation: “Hey, you’re not grumpy!” His response, “no, but my wife is,” is guaranteed to elicit a smile.  On occasion, you will see Wendy riding shotgun in the truck with Buddy. “I’ve been going on calls with Buddy since we started this business.  That’s how I’ve learned as much as I have about septic systems, which has enabled me to answer questions posed by the homeowners.”
